A Father’s Day gift for a dad who follows a team: a Sports Meter is a small Wi-Fi desk display with his team’s live score, record and next game. Father’s Day lands in the middle of baseball season, and it follows football, basketball, hockey and soccer the rest of the year. $119 to $149.
We build each Sports Meter in Encinitas, California: we assemble it, load it, test it, and print its stand. It follows any team in 16 leagues, so you cannot buy the wrong one.

It is ready out of the box
It comes with a stand, a USB-C cable and a quick-start card. Setup takes about a minute, so he can be using it the same morning.

Questions people ask
What is a good Father’s Day gift for a sports fan?
A Sports Meter: a Wi-Fi desk scoreboard that shows his team’s live score, record and next game. It works with any team and has no subscription.
What is a good Father’s Day gift for a dad who has everything?
Something he does not already own and will use daily. A live scoreboard for his own team on his desk is one most dads do not have.
Will it arrive in time for Father’s Day?
Order early for a holiday, and email [email protected] if you need it by a particular date.
Can the kids set it up for him?
Yes. Anyone with a phone can do it in about a minute: scan the code on the screen, choose the Wi-Fi and pick his teams.
Which sports and leagues does it cover?
Football, basketball, baseball, hockey and soccer, pro and college: the NFL, NBA, WNBA, MLB, NHL, MLS, NWSL, college football, men’s and women’s college basketball, the Premier League, LaLiga, Bundesliga, Serie A, Ligue 1 and Liga MX. More than 1,700 teams in 16 leagues.
Can it follow more than one team?
Yes. One Sports Meter follows up to six teams at once, from any mix of sports. They take turns on screen, and a live game takes over until it ends.
Is there a subscription or an app?
No. There is no subscription, no account and no app. It connects to home Wi-Fi and updates itself.
How hard is it to set up?
About a minute. Plug it in, scan the code on its screen with a phone, choose the home Wi-Fi and pick the teams. Teams can be changed later from a phone.
How much does it cost?
$119 to $149, depending on the battery option. It comes with a 3D-printed stand in a choice of colors, a USB-C cable and a quick-start card.
Does it show live scores?
Yes. During a game it shows the score, the clock and the period, usually well under a minute behind the live action. Football adds down and distance; baseball adds the count, outs and runners.
