A Sports Meter is a small Wi-Fi desk display that shows a fan’s team all season: the record and standings, the next game in their local time, and the live score while the game is on. It costs $119 to $149 and needs no app or subscription.
We build each Sports Meter in Encinitas, California: we assemble it, load it, test it, and print its stand. It follows any team in 16 leagues, so you cannot buy the wrong one.

You cannot pick the wrong one
Every Sports Meter follows any team. The person chooses their own teams at setup, up to six at once, and can change them whenever they like.

It is something they do not already have
Most fans own the jersey and the mug. Very few have a live scoreboard on their desk.

Nothing to sign up for
No subscription, no account, no app. It takes about a minute to set up and then updates itself.
Who it is for
Dad. He checks the score on his phone at dinner. This puts it on his desk or workbench instead, all season, with no app to learn.
Husband or boyfriend. A tech gift he will not already own, and one he will look at every day rather than put in a drawer.
Wife or girlfriend. For the fan in the house who never misses a game. Stands come in eight colors, including wood and gold.

Can it follow more than one team?
Yes. One Sports Meter follows up to six teams at once, from any mix of sports. They take turns on screen, and a live game takes over until it ends.
Is there a subscription or an app?
No. There is no subscription, no account and no app. It connects to home Wi-Fi and updates itself.
How hard is it to set up?
About a minute. Plug it in, scan the code on its screen with a phone, choose the home Wi-Fi and pick the teams. Teams can be changed later from a phone.
How much does it cost?
$119 to $149, depending on the battery option. It comes with a 3D-printed stand in a choice of colors, a USB-C cable and a quick-start card.
Does it show live scores?
Yes. During a game it shows the score, the clock and the period, usually well under a minute behind the live action. Football adds down and distance; baseball adds the count, outs and runners.
What does it need to work?
A 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network, which almost every home router has, and USB-C power or its built-in battery.
