A graduate is about to have a first desk, a first apartment, and a team they now follow from far away. These are for those three things.
We are a small workshop in Encinitas, California, and we make everything here ourselves.
01
One number, always on
Their college team, wherever they move. Or the markets, or their code, for the first job.
Small Wi-Fi screens that show the one thing someone keeps opening an app for: their team, the markets, a follower count. We assemble, load and test each one here, on a stand we 3D print. No app and no subscription.

02
Made from your photo
The photo from the day, in stone, and a bottle with their name.
Send us a picture, a name or a date and we make the piece around it. A photo is engraved into natural slate, where the stone turns pale wherever the laser touches it; a pet is redrawn and built up in layers of wood. Nothing here exists until you order it, so no two are the same.

Maps that light up
Something for the first apartment wall.
A map for the wall with lights behind it that follow the real thing: where the trains are right now, which lifts are turning. Hang it, plug it in, and it keeps itself up to date.

Layers of wood
For the next mountain.
Six to eleven layers of basswood, laser cut, stained or painted one at a time and stacked, so each piece has real depth and throws its own shadows.
Mount WhitneyOrdering for a date
Personalized pieces are made after you order, so give us extra time before a holiday. If you need something by a date, email [email protected] and we will tell you honestly whether we can do it.

Can a gift be personalized?
Yes. Slate is engraved from your photo or your own design, pet portraits are made from a photo of the dog or cat, and the cribbage board and water bottle are engraved with a name.
Who makes these?
We do. Encinitas 3D is a small business in Encinitas, California. Everything is designed, cut, engraved, printed and assembled here.
